DUBLIN — James Donald “Buster” Sharp, 85, died on June 30, 2007, in Dallas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3 at the First United Methodist Church and burial in the Bunyan Cemetery. Harrell Funeral Home of Dublin is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1921, in the Bunyan Community of Erath County, Texas. He was united in marriage to Norma Lee Carr on March 3, 1944 in Kermit, Texas. He was a Plant Repairman for Mobil Oil Co. before retirement. Mr. Sharp was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He served on the Kermit volunteer fire department for 30 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Sharp of Dublin; His daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Lee and Charles Starkey of Spring, and Leta Ruth and James Sage of Dublin; his son and daughter-in-law, Frank Carl and Louise Sharp of Brownwood; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Willie Williams of Purvis; his brother, Wendell Sharp of the State of Illinois; his sister-in-law, Belle Sharp of Dublin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Dublin or to the Bunyan Cemetery Association in care of Jack Parks, 3628 W. FM 108, Stephenville, TX 76401.
