Funeral services for Idelia Vaughan, 91, of Brownwood will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. James Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the family present from 6 to 7.
Mrs. Vaughan was born March 7, 1917, in Ore City, Texas, to the parentage of Noble and Servinia Morrow Wesley. She married Homer Vaughan in Malakoff, Texas. They moved to Brownwood in 1940. She worked for 23 years for Brownwood ISD as a helper in the kitchen at Brownwood Junior High School.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Vaughan Delce of Fort Worth, Texas; one grandson, David D. Morgan of Brownwood; one granddaughter, La’tresa Vaughan Jackson of Fort Worth, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Theldon Lamont Vaughan of Brownwood, Aeisha Vaughan of Fort Worth, Litanna Morgan of Abilene, Texas, and David Morgan Jr. of Abilene, Texas.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, and two infant sons.
All arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Kirk Mortuary in Coleman.
