COLEMAN — Graveside services for Brenda Kay Crowder, 56, of Coleman, are set for 2 p.m. today at Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Coleman County Medical Center.
She was born Brenda Kay Brooks on June 17, 1951, in Coleman, a daughter of Raymond Brooks Sr. and Lennie G. Wilson Brooks. She grew up in Coleman where she attended school. On June 21, 1965, she was married to Freddie Crowder in Coleman. She was a lifelong resident of Coleman, a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She attended Wings As Eagles Church.
She is survived by her husband, Freddie Crowder of Coleman; six children, Rodney Glenn Crowder and wife Fayenell of Roswell, N.M., Joe Bob Crowder and wife Sharena of Coleman, Sharon Luann Crowder of Coleman, Taleesa Kay Dean and husband Joshua of Coleman, David Paul Crowder and wife Brandy of Coleman, Rebecca Lynette Crowder of Brownfield; 18 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Teddy Brooks of Junction, Tommy Brooks, Robbie Brooks and Roy Brooks all of Coleman and Jimmy Brooks of Bangs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Raymond Brooks Jr. and Bill Brooks and a sister, Hallie Mae Gentry.
