COMANCHE — Funeral services for Jerry Dean Layman, 64, of Hawley will be at 10 a.m. today at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial will be in White Point Cemetery in Comanche County.
He died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Hendrick Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Comanche County to Artie and Mary Ella (Gober) Layman. He owned and operated a trucking company in Hawley.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah of Hawley; a son, Jimmy Dean Layman of Hawley; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Ann and Carlos Reyna of Hawley; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers and sister-in-law, Loyd Layman of Ozona, and T.L. and Nancy Layman of Crestview, Fla.; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Beth Howington of Brawley, Calif., and Betty Joyce and Charles Pennell of Abilene; and numerous special family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Ella Layman; brothers, Marcellus Layman and Larry Layman; and nephew, Shayne Layman.
