Will Walter “Pete” Holland Jr., age 54, of Brownwood, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Winchell cemetery with the Rev. Richard Hetzel officiating. Services are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

Family visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m., Monday, July 21 at the funeral home.

Pete was born in Brownwood, Texas, in November of 1953 to Will Walter Holland and Earlene Mullins Holland. He attended schools in Brownwood. He had worked as a fork lift operator for Load Craft in Brady for several years. He was a Baptist and loved to study astronomy. He had been a resident of Brownwood all of his life.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Misty Holland and James Guerrero of Jourdanton, Texas; one brother, William Holland and partner Paul Blanchard of Mesquite, Texas; one sister, June Turner and husband J.B. Turner of Winchell, Texas; two grandchildren, Noelani and Noah Guerrero; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Holland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Walter Holland and Earlene Mullins Holland; and one brother, Homer Holland.
