Lola Faye Williams, 63, of Bangs, departed this life on Monday, May 19, 2008, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benny Allcorn officiating. Interment will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, at the funeral home.

Lola Faye Savage was born the ninth child of 10 siblings on July 20, 1944, in Talco, Texas, to Rube and Lola Mae Savage. She graduated from Norris High School in Commerce, Texas, and later moved to Bangs. She was married to Albert C. Williams Jr. on June 4, 1962, in Greenville, Texas. From that union was born two daughters, Crystal and Felicia, and a son, Cassius.

Mrs. Williams had been a juvenile corrections officer at TYC for a number of years. She loved sewing and decorating and caring for her family. She was a member of the New Testament Holiness Church and had lived in Bangs for the last 28 years.

Those left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 45 years, Albert Williams Jr., of Bangs; daughters, Crystal Williams of Austin and Felicia Anthony of Killeen; son Cassius Williams of Fayetteville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jessica Anthony of Killeen, Shannon Callaway of Arlington, and Parker and Taylor Williams, both of Fayetteville. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Jayden Knight of Arlington; one brother, Bufford Savage of Bangs; two sisters, Bobbie Crosby and Gloria Craddock, both of Bangs, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and a brother-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rube and Lola Maye Savage; her twin brother, Willie Ray Savage; brothers, Vernon, WW and Howard Savage and sisters Louise Kelly and Patsy Ruth Fletcher.
