SAN ANTONIO — Funeral services for Joanne Powell, 68, of San Antonio will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Mayfield Park Baptist Church in San Antonio. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 p.m. until time of the service.
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Richland Springs City Cemetery.
She died Wednesday Nov. 7, 2007, in her home.
She was born June 5, 1939, in Aubrey to Melvin Henry Hoarce and Margie Jane Walters Odom. On June 23, 1956, she was married to Melvin Powell in San Antonio. She was a member of the Mayfield Park Baptist Church where she retired as the church secretary.
Survivors include three daughters, Robbie Anglin and her husband John of Parachute, Colo., Cindi Nelson and her husband Jim of San Antonio and Bettye Powell of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Lee Odom; and six sisters, Mary Robberts, Ellen Hickman, Shirley Weller, Margie Wright Kathy Sims and Glenda Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one daughter, Pam Dunman; one brother, Henry Odom; and two sisters, Claudia Wright and Wanda Wood.
