Funeral services for Fred Lohr, 86, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with Chaplain Dick Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
He passed away, Monday, Sept. 24, 2007.
He was born May 27, 1921 in Kodiak, Alaska to John and Haretina May Lohr. On Dec. 26, 1963, he married Artye “Jackie” Mae Roberts in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. An oilfield worker by profession, he had lived in Brownwood since 1991. He was also in the Air Force. Fred loved to do woodwork and tinker around the house on projects.
Survivors include his daughters, Tina Ramirez of San Antonio, Edna Garza and husband, Richard, of San Antonio, Freida Villarreal and husband, Paul, of Floresville; sister, Alice Hensan of Olalla, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Artye “Jackie” Lohr; two grandchildren, John Hadfield and William Ramirez Jr.; parents, John and Haretina Lohr; and a brother, Nick Lohr.
