Funeral services for Lillian Teal Perkins, 79, of Brownwood, Texas, will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Don Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Perkins was born on Sept. 9, 1930, in Grand Junction, Colo., to Charles Finey and Frankie Jeanne Blaisdell Hills. On June 13, 1948, she was married to Thomas L. Teal in Lebanon, Ore., and he preceded her in death in 1984. She later was married to David L. Perkins on June 6, 1987, in Brownwood, Texas, and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Mrs. Perkins moved to Brownwood in 1971 from Richland Springs, Texas. She was a member of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and was retired from 3M.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Terry J. and Dale McKinnerney of Richland Springs, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas L. (Tommy) and Connie Teal of Brownwood, Texas, and Craig S. and Lavonna Teal of Waxahachie, Texas; son-in-law, Pepper Wells of Waxahachie, Texas; sisters, Gwen Summer and husband Tom of Lebanon, Ore., and Ruth Bottom and husband Rod of Lebanon, Ore.; sisters-in-law, Jane Kennedy and husband Clyde of Brownfield, Texas, and Judy Teal of Brownwood, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and her precious pets and companions Snuffy and Sarah Megan.

A special thanks to the staff of Care Inc. Nursing Center, Lighthouse Hospice and Dr. Chris Stephens for the wonderful care they gave to their mother.
