SAN SABA — Funeral services for Juanita Johnson, 94, of Richland Springs, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Howell-Doran Funeral Home with Bob McClean officiating. Burial will follow at the Locker Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She died Monday, June 9, 2008, in San Saba.
She was born Oct. 9, 1913, in San Saba County to Charlie Madison Locker and Bessie Cowart Locker. She was married to Dor D. Johnson on Feb. 4, 1933, in San Saba County. He died Nov. 19, 2001. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Richland Springs Quilting Club for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Johnson and his wife Shirley of Spring Branch; one daughter, Janice Taff of San Saba; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elenora Quain of Mesquite and Grace Askins of Dallas.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gene Johnson; one son-in- law, Kenneth Taff; one grandson, Richard Johnson; three brothers, Loyd Locker, Lucian Locker and Charles B. Locker; and three sisters, Stella Smith, Henrye McClean and Pauline Patton.
