The curtain is about to go upÖ on another outstanding season of musical programs provided by Brownwood Area Live On Stage.

This organization and its predecessor, Brownwood Community Concerts, have been providing its members with an annual series of outstanding programs since the years after World War II, and the line-up for the coming season could be the best ever.

It will open Tuesday next week with a Neil Diamond tribute artist, Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band. Other artists booked between then and the middle of May include pianist Rudolf Budginas, The Canadian Tenors, former New York City police officer Daniel Rodriguez and the a capella troupe, Chapter 6.

But only members can attend, and membership sales will close when the show begins Tuesday. Subscriptions are reasonable when you compare ticket prices in other cities; itís not uncommon to find that admission to one concert by such artists is about the same as the entire season in Brownwood. Solid support from members and corporate sponsors make that possible.

Memberships will also be available at a booth inside Hastings in Brownwood today. So the opportunity to enjoy a season full of top entertainment is easy to obtain.
