To the editor:

I would like to thank the Greenleaf Cemetery Citizens committee, and especially Vonne Cornett, for the hard work and interest in getting Greenleaf cleaned and mowed. I was out of town and when I returned, my husbandís grave had been completely mowed, raked and for the first time since he was buried on Dec. 10, 2006, the grave looked as it should.

This cemetery is the last resting place of many citizens who looked after it while alive, and we should look after it now that they are gone. The board wants to say this was caused by rains, but this cemetery has been in bad repair for five years. We bought these lots because Bob was interested in history and this cemetery is full of history and is a perpetual cemetery. Which means that it will be taken care of forever. I appreciate this committee and feel that everyone who has loved ones in this cemetery is willing to help and get some new leaders on this board who will look into saving this cemetery.
