To the editor:

We wish to thank all who helped our son on May 2, 2008, when he had his motorcycle accident in Early at the Brownwood line.

Special thanks to the police, paramedics, doctors, staff and others, We wish to specifically thank Lori, who was one of the first on the scene and rendered aid, Terry McDonald of House of Wheels Inc., who though a Yamaha dealer took his Harley to his business so it could be easily retrieved. Thank you, Detective Lawson from the sheriff’s department. I am sorry I do not have the names of the others as noted above.

After being “care flighted” to San Angelo with relatively no chance of survival, our son is now in the Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation in Dallas for brain injuries. He has fought a collapsed lung, broken ribs, broken collar bone and bruised heart as well as head injuries.

They found blood clots in his legs, so recently they did some stint work and also an angioplasty on his left side of the heart. He can speak and eat, so we are hopeful that our son will come back to us fully. All the prayer lists he is on have surely helped.

Thank you again, Brownwood and Early.
