To the editor:

Surely President Bush and Secretary Paulson realize that the Wall Street bailout will be their very last opportunity to fleece taxpayers during this century. Sooner or later it may dawn on Republican Realtors that they will be better off financially to lease a $200,000 house for $100 a month than to let it deteriorate while standing empty. That is, unless the Republicans of Wall Street get the Republicans in Congress to raise taxes on occupied houses, or to give a tax break for houses sitting empty.
