To the editor:
I am a volunteer at the Salvation Army Loaves & Fishes and would like to thank Jeremy Morgan for his awesome contribution. Jeremy’s Eagle Scout project was a “can drive,” which he donated the car load of cans to the Loaves & Fishes. His donation will feed many people in our area. It amazed me what one teenage boy could achieve.
The Loaves & Fishes is Brownwood's “soup kitchen” which is located across from MHMR on Lakeway Drive. We serve on average more than 100 people a day. Devotional is a 11:45 a.m. and lunch is served between noon and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
I would like to express my appreciation to all the individuals and area businesses that donate to the Salvation Army Loaves & Fishes. Once again a sincere thank you to Jeremy and the Morgan family.
By the way, volunteers are needed and donations are appreciated (any food donation, including processed wild game).
