To the editor:

I am writing in regards to the pick up of children from East Elementary kindergarten.

At the beginning of the school year, specific instructions were given to the parents of the children. However, as the year progresses along, the total disregard of these instructions is creating what I believe to be a very dangerous situation. It completely amazes me at how parents could ever expect their children to learn how to follow instructions when they themselves canít seem to do so. Maybe these parents just missed the information, have a reading disability, or just simply canít follow instructions.

My daughter last week had to shove my granddaughter out of the way of a speeding car and nearly was hit herself. Please parents, slow down, go the right way, and follow instructions before a disaster occurs. You know you might just be the one or I that lose something much more precious than your time.

An agitated grandmother,
