To the editor:
The people of Brown County, from my remembrance from around 1933, have always been friendly — and gracious, except for seven old grouches. The treatment of friendly help to a damsel in distress was noted by Monica M. Carr of Comanche in a letter to the editor recently. Her car died at a busy traffic light, an event both embarrassing and stressful. She seemed impressed at the number of persons who leaped to her rescue.
In Brown County, friendly and helpful is common fare.
