To the Editor:
I would just like to take this opportunity to welcome Harris Broadband to Brownwood. I recently went by their office on Fisk Avenue to talk to them about the services they provide. I was awed by what I saw.
I have had cable service with Brownwood TV Cable off and on for 30 years. I must say in recent years the quality of our cable services have been very poor at best. I have many channels that donít come in part of the time, and others that just donít come in anymore. I have called the cable company many times about these problems. I seem to fall upon deaf ears and empty promises.
I was under the impression that the Brownwood Cable company had a contract with the city Of Brownwood, which required them to provide us with a certain quality of service. Is this not true? The cable company wants their money, but they donít want to provide us with what we pay for. Is my television the only one in town that shows snow as the daily feature? I think itís time for Brownwood TV Cable to provide answers to the citizens of Brownwood and to be held accountable for their actions. I believe they owe us that much, if not more. What do other citizens think?
