BALLINGER- A vehicle rollover occurring last Thursday, December 8 in the morning hours left a commercial vehicle seriously damaged and a fence with broken posts on U.S. Highway 83, just outside the city limits of the City of Ballinger.

Charles Cormack, of San Angelo, was driving southbound a van white in color, headed to Ballinger minutes before 7 a.m. Cormack was finishing a delivery route through several cities in the Big Country. The driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the curb with the inside of his tires and went off the road to his left crossing the northbound lane.

The van missed two traffic signals on the east side of the road and jumped over the fence of a property located just north of the rest area on U.S. Highway 83. The vehicle ended up laying on its left side and facing north.

Cormack was the only occupant of the vehicle, came out of the wreckage by himself and was uninjured. The driver was checked on site by first responders of EMT in Ballinger.

First responders included Ballinger Memorial Hospital, Runnels County Sheriff's Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Department of Public Safety.

The vehicle was headed to Ballinger to deliver auto parts. This wreck was being investigated by Texas DPS.
