LONE OAK — Rhett Gallagher threw a no-hitter, needing just 84 pitches while striking out 12 and walking two and was 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and scored as Van Alstyne opened District 10-3A action with a 4-0 victory against Lone Oak on Tuesday night.


Luke Hundt singled and drove in two runs, Chase Wilson was 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored and Hunter Hutchison singled, stole a pair of bases and drove in a run for Van Alstyne (5-1-3, 1-0).


Farmersville 1, Whitewright 0


WHITEWRIGHT — The Tigers managed just two hits against Lyle Hibbitts as Farmersville edged Whitewright in the 10-3A opener on Tuesday night.


Braden Ritchie and Devlin Carraway singled while Kendall Shaw and Dylan Cordell walked for the Tigers (0-10-1). Burke Hosier and Payton Jones combined to allow just the run — a homer by Hibbitts in the fourth — on six hits.


District 9-3A


Pottsboro 10, Ponder 0 (6)


POTTSBORO — Max Dodd and Hunter Watson combined on a two-hit shutout as Pottsboro opened district play with a run-rule victory against Ponder on Tuesday night.


Dodd allowed one hit and struck out eight over five innings, Coby Langford doubled and drove in two runs, Carson Rein was 2-for-3 and drove in a run, Myles Mitchusson was 2-for-4 and scored twice and Jared Taylor scored twice for Pottsboro (7-2, 1-0).


Gunter 12, S&S 4


GUNTER — Zach Lowe was 4-for-4 with two RBI and scored as Gunter opened district play with a victory against S&S on Tuesday night.


Logan Nelson was 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored, Trey Carr singled, scored and drove in two runs, Braiden Clopton tripled, drove in a run and scored, Matt Hunter was 2-for-5 with two RBI and Bryson Jolly and Bo Whitteker each walked three times and scored twice for Gunter (7-4, 1-0).


Ace Everett was 3-for-4 with a double and scored three times, Jacob Miller was 3-for-4 with a double, drove in a run and scored and Manuel Duarte was 2-for-4 and drove in a run for S&S.


Callisburg 5, Pilot Point 4


PILOT POINT — Jacob Fisher had Callisburg’s only hit and scored twice as the Wildcats edged Pilot Point in the district opener on Tuesday night.


Parker Huddleston walked and scored twice while Dylan Barker also scored for Callisburg (2-3, 1-0).


J.J. Kulesz, Bryson Griffin and Coy Holman singled and scored for Pilot Point (1-6-2, 0-1).


District 10-2A


Tioga 3, Alvord 1


TIOGA — Kaleb Scott tripled, drove in a run and scored as Tioga opened district play with a victory over Alvord on Tuesday.


Logan Scott scattered three hit and three walks while striking out 10, Will Koberick singled and drove in a run and Yancy Klohn and Cade Kimbrell each singled and scored for Tioga.


District 11-2A


Trenton 13, Celeste 0 (5)


CELESTE — Justin Lambright threw a no-hitter, needing just 64 pitches to strike out 11 and walk one, and was 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a run as Trenton run-ruled Celeste in the district opener on Tuesday night.


Zackary Cranford tripled, drove in two runs and scored twice, Jordy Caro walked twice and scored twice, Kaiden West stole three bases, walked twice and scored twice and Raul Caro doubled and drove in a run for Trenton (6-4, 1-0).


Bland 21, Bells 12


BELLS — Hunter Hawthorne was 3-for-3 with a double, drove in a run, stole two bases and scored three times during Bells’ district-opening loss against Bland on Tuesday.


Eli Strickland was 2-for-5 with two triples, two RBI and two runs, Stephen Hinds was 2-for-5, drove in a run and scored twice and Tyler Hawthorne scored twice for Bells (5-3-1, 0-1).


Bland scored 18 runs over the fifth and sixth innings.
