LAMPASAS — The Brownwood High tennis team slipped to 5-4 on the season, suffering their fourth consecutive defeat at the hands of Lampasas, 13-6, on Thursday.

The Lions led the way with three singles victories — No. 2 Gabe Hinojosa (1-6, 6-4, 10-6 over Carroll), No. 5 Jimmy Kniss (6-1, 6-3 over Fesler) and No. 6 Mo Goff (6-2, 2-6, 7-2 over Munoz).

The Lady Lions added two doubles triumphs and a singles win. Teaming up for victories were No. 2 Cameron Hall and Mckinzie Adkins (6-4, 3-6, 10-7 over Conneel/Claussen) and No. 3 Jordan Stavley and Samantha Ethridge (6-4, 3-6, 10-5 over Munoz and Green.)

Adkins, at No. 3 singles, also chipped in a 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over Claussen.

Brownwood (5-4) will be back in action at Copperas Cove Saturday.
