Brownwood charges from behind for 22-25, 19-25, 28-26, 26-24, 18-16 home victory
On the heels of their five-set victory at Class 6A Abilene High Tuesday, the Brownwood Lady Lions rallied from a two sets to none deficit to stun the Class 4A No. 4 Graham Lady Blues Friday night at Warren Gym.
Brownwood dropped the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-19, then followed with three victories — all of which required extra points. “We played amazing tonight,” said Lady Lions second-year head coach Julie Kennedy, whose team improved to 8-13. “Graham had us backed into a corner, and we had to fight, scratch and claw for every point. We again showed that when we are pushed, we are going to push back.”
