EARLY – The Early Lady Horns chalked up a four-set home victory over Paint Rock Tuesday night as they continue to tune up for District 6-3A volleyball action.

The Lady Horns’ offensive attack was spearheaded by Ellie Ryan’s 10 kills trailed by five from Kacee Gober, four each from Lainey Speck, Trinity Tomlinson and Jenna Whitehead, and two apiece from CyLee Tyson and Emma Loven.

Tyson dished out 13 assists while Vance Cady Gordon chipped in nine, followed by Tomllinson with a pair and Gober with one.

Tyson also served a team-best four aces with Loven, Speck, Tomlinson and Morgan Luckie adding one apiece.

On the defensive end, Loven notched 32 digs trailed by Tomlinson with 18, Tyson with nine, Gober with five, Speck with four, Brilee Tabor with three, White with two and Ryan and Hallie Brinson with one apiece.

At the net, Ryan and Speck recorded blocks.

The Lady Horns are slated to visit Tolar on Friday and Lampasas on Tuesday prior to opening District 6-3A action Saturday, Sept. 23 at Breckenridge.

In other volleyball action Tuesday night, Bangs fell in straight sets to Bronte, 25-5, 25-12, 25-11. Further information on the game was not available.
