HAMILTON — The Brownwood Lady Lions collected a fourth consecutive cross country meet championship with a first-place finish at Wednesday's Mona Gloff Invitational hosted by Hamilton High School.

The Lady Lions generated 26 points trailed by host Hamilton with 63 points and third-place Goldthwaite with 79.

Darby Crysler placed second in a time of 13:01.64 to lead the charge for Brownwood followed by Kyra Young in fifth place with a time of 13:31.92, Izzy Lawrence in sixth place with a time of 13:33.97, Audrey Boren in eighth place at 13:41.28, Trinity Buitron in 11th place at 14:02.54, and Alex Fowler in 17th place at 14:38.23.

Next up for the Lady Lions in a Sept. 30 appearance at the Round Rock McNeil Invitational at Settler's Park, site of the annual UIL cross country state meet.
