SWEETWATER — The Brownwood High tennis team collected its third consecutive District 5-4A victory — and second by shutout — with a 19-0 blanking of Sweetwater Thursday.
“When we lost Michael Gomez and Samantha Ethridge to injuries a couple of weeks ago, and then we lost Kayleigh George last week, I wasn’t sure if the team would step up,” said Brownwood tennis head coach Mark Davis. “Well they have definitely stepped up the last three weeks and especially tonight. The execution was great and the effort was great.”
