COMANCHE— The Early Lady Horns are facing an uphill climb during the second half of District 6-3A volleyball action as they concluded the first half Friday with a three-set loss at Comanche.

Early fell to 0-5 in district action with the second half of the league slate set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when Breckenridge visits.

In Friday’s loss to Comanche, Kacee Gober recorded a team-high five kills followed by Ellie Ryan, Hope Boswell and Jenna Whitehead with three each, Lainey Speck with two and Morgan Luckie with one.

CyLee Tyson finished with eight assists and Vance Cady Gordon contributed seven.

Gober and Brilee Tabor served two aces while Trinity Tomlinon added one.

Defensively, Emma Loven collected 13 digs trailed by seven from both Tomlinson and Speck, two each from Tabor, Tyson, Whitehead, Luckie and Hallie Brinson, and one apiece by Boswell, Gober and Taylor Turner.

Ryan and Gober were each credited with a block.
