A community pep rally in support of the Brownwood Lions will be held tonight at Gordon Wood Stadium, two days before the 77th playing of the Battle of 377 against the rival Stephenville Yellow Jackets.

Friday night’s District 3-4A Division I, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will be the first home contest for Brownwood since Sept. 8 — a Week 2 homecoming outing against Graham.

Tonight’s festivities begin at 6 p.m. with the Lions Mothers Club serving pulled pork sandwich meals for $5. There is a limited amount of food available, so first come, first served.

Lions merchandise will also be for sale along with raffle tickets for a Yeti cooler, with all proceeds going toward the Debbie Ellis Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Little Lions will meet their Big Lions at 6:45 p.m. in the Dallas Huston Walk of Champions, and the players will take the field at 7 p.m. The freshmen and JV should also be at the tunnel at the same time.

The Brownwood High cheerleaders, Mighty Maroon Marching Band and Lionettes will also perform.
