GATESVILLE — Trailing by 10 points early in the second period, the Brownwood Lions fought back to claim a 69-58 road victory over the Gatesville Hornets Friday night — their 10th win in 14 outings this season.

Brownwood led 9-8 after one quarter, took a 29-27 lead into the locker room at halftime and owned a 49-36 edge through three periods.

Zach Strong paced the Lions with 26 points trailed by 17 from A.J. McCarty, seven from Isyah Campos, six from Xavier Porter, four points apiece from Blake Bronniman, Sean Yoder and Gavon Clemons and one point from Blaize Infinger.

The Lions (10-4) host Comanche at 6:30 p.m. Monday in their final outing before Christmas.
