MAY — The No. 8 May Lady Tigers improved to 18-3 overall and 4-1 in District 15-A action with Tuesday night's 68-23 victory over Cross Plains.

May led just 9-8 after one quarter but stretched the advantage to 36-16 by halftime and 51-20 through three periods.

Yary Rodriguez scored a team-high 21 points for the Lady Tigers trailed by 13 from Kyndi Kilgo, eight from Kelsey Chambers, six from Lauren Baker, five from Roberta Robinette, four from Jaycee Moses, two from Kaylee Harris and one point from Taylor Cox.

The Lady Tigers wrap up the first half of district competition Friday at Rising Star.

Tigers 41, Cross Plains 32

MAY — The No. 23 May Tigers notched a 41-32 victory over Cross Plains in District 15-A action Tuesday night to improve to 7-4 overall and 3-0 in league play.

The Tigers jumped in front 17-9 after one quarter, led 27-13 at halftime and carried a 34-19 edge into the fourth period.

Wyatt Mote and Gage Keckler led the charge with nine points apiece followed by Austin McAbee with eight, Dalton Self with six, Tyler Wheeler with four and Preston Johnston with two points.

The Tigers travel to Rising Star Friday night.
