DUBLIN— The Bangs Lady Dragons remained in second place in the District 6-3A girls basketball race with a 60-19 victory over Dublin Tuesday.

Bangs (11-19, 5-3) led 27-14 at halftime but stretched the advantage to 43-14 after three quarters.

Trenedi Deal led the Lady Dragons with 13 points followed by Kenzie Baker with 12 and Kyra Smith with eight points.

 

Lady Horns 52, Coleman 42

 

EARLY — The Early Lady Horns climbed back into the District 6-3A playoff picture with a 52-42 victory over Coleman Tuesday night.

Early (14-16, 4-4) pulled into a fourth-place tie with Coleman (18-10, 4-4) with the win.

The Lady Horns trailed 9-6 after one quarter and 21-16 at halftime but took a 31-30 lead into the fourth period.

Kacee Gober tallied 13 points followed by Ellie Ryan with 12, CyLee Tyson with 11, Alexa Portillo with six, Trinity Tomlinson and MaKayla DeLeon with three, and Vance Cady Gordon and Emily Jillson with two points each.

 

Coleman 57, Longhorns 45

 

EARLY — The Early Longhorns fell into a fourth-place tie with Coleman following the Bluecats’ 57-45 District 6-3A road victory Tuesday night.

Both teams are now 2-4 in league play.

Early (10-18 overall) received 10 points from Ethan Mitchell, nine each from Devyn Burns and Taylor Hurt, seven from Brent Grooms, six from Ty Schafer and four from Timmy Smithson.
