Lady Horns notch win while Horns, Dragons, Lady Dragons, Tigers fall
CROSS PLAINS — The No. 11 May Lady Tigers moved within a victory of capturing the District 15-A championship with Friday's 54-40 victory over Cross Plains.
May (24-3, 10-1) was also aided by Baird's 53-51 upset victory over No. 12 Eula (23-8, 9-2), which fell a game behind the Lady Tigers in the 15-A race with one contest remaining.
The Lady Tigers host Rising Star Tuesday where a win would lock up the outright district title.

Lady Horns 56, Dublin 39
EARLY – The Early Lady Horns moved into a three-way tie for second place in the District 6-3A girls basketball standings with a 56-39 victory over last-place Dublin Friday night.
Early (15-16, 5-4) led 16-7 after one quarter, 26-18 at halftime, and 39-25 through three frames.
Standouts for the Lady Horns included Ellie Ryan with 15 points and four rebounds; Alexa Portillo with 10 points and six rebounds; MaKayla DeLeon with eight points and four assists; Trinity Tomlinson with eight points and three assists; Emily Jillson with seven points; CyLee Tyson with four points and five rebounds; and Kacee Gober with four points, eight rebounds and seven steals.
The Lady Horns will attempt to secure a playoff berth as they close the regular season at 6-3A champion Comanche Tuesday night.
Brady 53, Lady Dragons 23
BRADY— The Bangs Lady Dragons fell back into a three-way tie for second place in the District 6-3A girls basketball standings following a 53-23 road loss to Brady Friday night.
Bangs (11-20, 5-4), Early (15-16, 5-4) and Brady (8-10) are all tied for second place, one game ahead of fifth place Coleman (18-11, 4-5) with one game remaining. Bangs hosts Coleman in the regular season finale Tuesday.
Against Brady, the Lady Dragons trailed 17-10 after one quarter and 28-14 at the half, and the Lady Bulldogs continued to pull away over the final two quarters.
