EARLY — Following a challenging weekend at the Glen Rose tournament, the Early Lady Horns returned to the win column with a pair of home victories over San Angelo TLC and Ranger Tuesday night.

Early knocked off San Angelo TLC in straight sets and added a four-set triumph over Ranger.

Against TLC, the Lady Horns received six kills from Kacee Gober trailed by three from Trinity Tomlinson and two apiece from Hope Boswell, Taylor Summers and Ellie Ryan.

Vance Cady Gordon dished out three assists while the Lady Horns finished with a dozen aces — four by Alexa Portillo, two each by Summers and Ryan and one apiece by Tomlinson, Gordon, Emma Loven and Haley Spieckerman.

Defensively, Tomlinson tallied four digs followed by Portillo with three, Spieckerman and Loven with two each and Boswell and Ryan with one apiece.

At the net, Ryan chalked up three blocks and Gober added one.

In the win over Ranger, Gober and Ryan led the charge with 10 kills apiece trailed by Boswell with five, Summers with four, and Tomlinson and Kenzie Poindexter with two each.

Early served 23 more aces — eight from Tomlinson, four each from Gordon and Summers, three from Loven and two apiece from Portillo and Ryan.

Summers distributed 11 assists, Gordon tallied nine and Tomlinson and Poindexter were each credited with one.

Tomlinson recorded a team-best 18 digs followed by Portillo with 14, Spieckerman with 10, Gordon with eight, Loven and Ryan with seven each, Summers with six, Gober with five, Boswell with four and Poindexter with one.

Gober finished with all three Lady Horn blocks at the net.

The Lady Horns (7-7) are scheduled to visit Bronte on Friday.
