The Brownwood High tennis team increased its win streak to seven consecutive matches as the Lions and Lady Lions improved to 10-1 overall in the fall campaign with a pair of home victories Saturday.

First, Brownwood slipped past San Angelo Lake View, 11-8, in one of its stiffest challenges to date. Then, the Lions and Lady Lions cruised past San Saba, 13-4, to reach double figures in victories just 11 matches into the campaign.

Brownwood’s lone defeat thus far came at the hands of Class 6A Odessa High, 10-4, in Killeen back on Aug. 11

On Saturday, the bulk of Brownwood’s victories against Lake View came on the boys side, where the Lions chalked up five singles wins and two more triumphs in doubles action.

The mixed doubles team of Hinojosa and Barberie (6-2, 6-0 over Flores and Price) also landed in the win column.
