EASTLAND — The Brownwood Lady Lions will carry a two-game win streak into Friday’s District 7-4A volleyball opener as they followed this past Friday’s four-set win at Llano with a straight-set triumph over Eastland Tuesday night.

Brownwood upended Eastland, 25-12, 25-15, 25-19 to improve to 9-13 on the season.

Offensively for the Lady Lions, Katelyn Windham led the charge with nine kills trailed by eight each from Torrey Miller and Olivia Fowler, three by Lindsey Larose and one by Aleyia Cotton.

Hadley Monroe distributed 12 assists followed by Miller with eight, Tessa Goodwin with four and Becca Church with one.

Davalynn Monroe served three aces, Caitlyn Moody added two and Fowler, Windham and Goodwin contributed one apiece.

On the defensive end, Davalynn Monroe recorded 13 digs followed by Miller with 11, Moody with 10, Hadley Monroe with four, Annie Gillispie with two and Fowler, Windham, Gracie Boswell, and Lakyn Ratliff with one each.

At the net, Miller played a role in five blocks while Boswell, Windham and Larose added one apiece.

The Lady Lions welcome Mineral Wells in the 7-4A opener at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Warren Gym.
