The Brownwood Lady Lions were dealt a second consecutive District 7-4A volleyball loss Friday, falling in straight sets to Godley, 25-17, 25-12, 25-22.

The Lady Lions (10-15, 1-2) were led offensively by seven kills each from Olivia Fowler and Torrey Miller, followed by four from Aleyia Cotton, two from Katelyn Windham and one each from Gracie Boswell, Lindsey Larose and Becca Church.

Miller also distributed 10 assists trailed by Hadley Monroe with eight, Davalynn Monroe with three and Cotton with one.

Miller served two aces as well while Davalynn Monroe and Annie Gillispie each contributed one.

On the defensive end, Miller tallied a team-high 11 digs followed by nine from Davalynn Monroe, six from Caitlyn Moody, five each from Cotton, Gillispie and Lakyn Ratliff, four from Hadley Monroe, three from both Fowler and Church, and two apiece from Larose and Windham.

Windham tallied three blocks and Miller chipped in two for Brownwood.

The Lady Lions are off Tuesday and wrap up the first half of district action at Stephenville on Friday.
