GLEN ROSE — Facing the No. 3 Glen Rose Lady Tigers for the second time, the Brownwood Lady Lions on Friday were again thwarted by the District 7-4A leaders in straight sets.

Brownwood was handed a 25-18, 25-19, 25-18 loss to fall to 11-17 overall and 2-4 in district competition.

Torrey Miller led Brownwood with 16 kills followed by seven from Olivia Fowler, six from Aleyia Cotton, five from Gracie Boswell and two apiece from Katelyn Windham and Lindsey Larose.

Hadley Monroe dished out 19 assists trailed by Miller with 15 and Davalynn Monroe with one.

Fowler and Davalynn Monroe served Brownwood's two aces.

Defensively, Davalynn Monroe logged 15 digs followed by Miller and Annie Gilispie with a dozen each, Hadley Monroe with five, Windham and Caitlyn Moody with four, Cotton with three and Fowler with a pair.

At the net, Miller, Larose, Fowler and Boswell earned one block apiece.

The Lady Lions are off Tuesday, then visit Godley at 4:30 p.m. Friday before wrapping up the district slate and regular season Oct. 23 at home against Stephenville.
