GRAHAM — The Brownwood Lady Lions secured at least a share of the District 2-3A volleyball championship with Friday night’s 25-17, 25-15, 25-21 win over Graham — their eighth sweep in nine district matches.

Brownwood (27-8, 9-0) will host Sweetwater (32-7, 8-1) — which it leads by one game in the district standings — at 6 p.m. Tuesday with an outright district championship at stake for the Lady Lions. Brownwood defeated Sweetwater in four sets in the first meeting on Oct. 14 in Sweetwater.

In Friday’s victory, Flynn Harrell led the Lady Lions with 21 kills, followed by 14 from Julie Kennedy, eight from Moochie Galloway, two each from Sheldyn Miller and Shalisa Hall and one from Chloe Geye.

Kennedy tallied a team-high five blocks, trailed by four each from Galloway and Harrell, two from Stephanie Jordy and one apiece from Geye, Miller and Alex Williams.

Harrell, Kennedy and RaeLee Taylor shared the digs lead with five each, while Shalisa Hall added three, Geye, Galloway and Williams finished with two and Jalisa Hall contributed one.

Williams recorded all 48 assists for the Lady Lions, who also tallied a pair of aces as a team.
