Coaches, statisticians encouraged to report results
With the start of the fall sports season upon us, local high school coaches and/or statisticians are encouraged to report the results of their team’s game or match to the Bulletin the day of the contest.
The deadline to report information Sunday through Friday is 10:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

Lions-Sweetwater football tickets currently on sale
Tickets for the Brownwood Lions’ 7:30 Friday football game against the Sweetwater Mustangs in the Gordon Wood Classic at Gordon Wood Stadium are now on sale.
Tickets can be purchased from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Thursday at the Brownwood ISD Administration Office at 2707 Southside Dr. Tickets will also available on Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Adult tickets cost $6 and tickets for students are $3. All tickets purchased at the gate will cost $6.

Early Booster Club to meet Monday night
Those interested in any Early High School or Early Middle School athletic programs are invited to attend a meeting of the Early Booster Club at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 at “the pit” at Early High.
Keffer Kickoff tournament at country club Monday
Texas Representative Jim Keffer will be hosting the second annual fund-raising Keffer Kickoff Golf Tournament at the Brownwood Country Club on Monday, Sept. 10.
The four-man scramble will feature a 9 a.m. check-in and a shotgun start at 11 a.m.
All teams must pre-register. Individuals are invited to play and will be placed on a team. The field is limited.
Awards will be given for the top three teams. Prizes will be also given for longest drive, straightest drive and the two closest to the pin. Various other prizes will be given with mulligan ticket drawings at the conclusion of the tournament.
Breakfast will be available at check-in and dinner will be served during the awards presentation.

Flag football registration continues until Sept. 14
Coggin Ave. Baptist Church will hold registration for its flag football season — open to kids in kindergarten through sixth grade — from Thursday, Aug. 30 through Friday, Sept. 14.
Registration forms can be picked up at the Christian Life Center or the main office of Coggin Ave. Baptist Church during normal business hours. The cost to register is $20.
All games will be played on Saturdays, starting Oct. 5., and the season will last for five weeks.

7-on-7 flag football league registration until Oct. 12
Registration is currently under way for the 2007 season of the 7-on-7 flag football league.
The cost to join the league is $175 per team and the deadline to enter is Oct. 12. Games will begin on Oct. 20.
