IRVING ó The Howard Payne Lady Jackets collected their second straight win, picking up a 3-1 non-conference victory at the University of Dallas in Tuesday soccer action.

The Yellow Jackets were denied in their bid for back-to-back wins, suffering a 4-0 loss to UD.

On the heels of their 2-1 American Southwest Conference overtime win at Louisiana College Saturday, the Lady Jackets (4-10-1, 3-7-1) jumped in front of Dallas just 5:43 into the contest on an unassisted goal by Felicia Pena.

UD pulled even at 1-all in the 54th minute when Mary Ruth Alzheimer scored on an assist from Meaghan Grant. But the Lady Jackets regained the lead 1:52 later on another unassisted goal from Pena.

Pena then completed her hat trick with 9:30 left in the contest, scoring her third unassisted goal of the afternoon.

Howard Payne attempted 10 shots on goal to UDís three and Lady Jacket goal keeper Nicole Pena tallied two saves.

The Yellow Jackets (3-11-1, 2-8-1) gave up two goals in each half of their loss to Dallas.

Howard Payne did not attempt a shot on goal compared to Dallasí 11. Yellow Jacket goal keeper Malcolm Framjee recorded seven saves.

Scoring for UD were Adam Lunger, Ryan Meske, Stuart Brown and Matt Stamper. Howard Payne fell behind with 23:07 left in the first half.

Both the Lady Jackets and Yellow Jackets will wrap up their seasons this weekend at Citizens National Bank Field. HPU will host Hardin-Simmons Friday in a doubleheader, then McMurry will visit for two games Saturday. Action begins at 1 p.m. each day with the women playing first.
