JUNCTION — Coming off a solid performance at the Dublin tournament over the weekend, the Bangs Lady Dragons returned to five-set action Tuesday, picking up a four-set win over Junction.

The Lady Dragons claimed the first set, 25-16, then dropped the second by a 25-18 count. Bangs regained control in the third set and tallied a 25-15 victory, then coasted in the final set, 25-8.

“Our serving was a lot better, which kept us in it,” said head coach Meredyth Meador. “The girls also kept their confidence up the whole time, which played a huge role. The hitting was also solid all around. It’s the best we’ve played in a while.”

Bangs improved to 3-4 in regulation matches with the victory, and will next compete in the Jacksboro tournament starting Thursday.
