The Brownwood Cubs seventh grade football teams concluded the season with a 2-1 performance Monday.
The Maroon team doubled up San Angelo Lee in its 16-8 victory and finished the season with a 6-2 record.
Jeffrey Newton ran for a 5-yard touchdown in the second quarter, Newt Harrell added a 1-yard dive in the fourth period and Bryce Vickers was credited with a safety.
Other key contributors were Matt McCrane, Bryant McDaniel, Cooper Howey, Caleb Wilbourne, Tyler Doil, Kevin Hobbs, Slate Miller and Seth Westerman.
The Maroon 2 team also picked up a victory, blanking Stephenville by a 20-0 count.
Joseph Rudd scored on runs of 15, 15 and 50 yards, while Nathan Ross added a two-point conversion.
Ross and Morgan Hall each picked off a pass to spark the defense.
Also contributing to the victory were Fernando Narvaez, Mathew Lewis, Miguel Hernandez, Trevin Teague, Aaron Hallmark, Shane Pruett, Silas Livingston, Trey Dennison, Timothy Murphy and Jacob Salazar.
The White team came up short against San Angelo Lee, 16-14, and closed its season with a 5-2-1 record.
Irish Cooper scored on a 1-yard run, and Michael Westerman added a 14-yard touchdown sprint and a two-point conversion.
Other standouts were Dylan Martin, Zane McCoy, Brandon Brownlee, Scott Kinzler, Brady Hall, Jeffrey Allen, Christian Perez and Bryce Sawyer.
