DETROIT (AP) — Heavy rain caused Wednesday’s game between the Texas Rangers and the Detroit Tigers to be rained out.

The decision to call the game was made 1 hour, 26 minutes after the scheduled 1:05 p.m. start.

Detroit rescheduled the game as part of a day-night doubleheader on Sept. 11.

Kenny Rogers, Detroit’s scheduled starter, was among seven 40-year-old starting pitchers slated to pitch for teams Wednesday.
