Tempers flared on both sides as the Brownwood Rangers held on for a 4-2 victory over the Brownwood White Sox in TTAB District 3 Junior Boys tournament action Wednesday at Camp Bowie.

One player was ejected during the game, and players from both teams were pulled apart on several occasions following the conclusion of the contest.

The Rangers advanced to the tournament championship game, which will take place at 6 p.m. Friday. At 7 p.m. tonight, the White Sox will play the winner of todayís Early vs. De Leon 3 p.m. contest for the right to advance to the tournament championship game.

The Rangers took a 4-1 lead in the top of the third inning on a pair of two-RBI base hits by Vance McShan and Marcus Berniard. McShan plated Brandon Brownlee and Dillon Ellis, who both walked, while Berniard drove in Josh Fleming, who reached on an error, and McShan.

The White Sox took a 1-0 lead in the first inning as Dylan Burleson singled home Patrick Espinoza, who led off with a single.

The White Sox cut the deficit to 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth as Graylon Brown scored on an RBI ground out by Tyler Edwards.
