ABILENE - The stage is set for a first-place showdown as the Brownwood Lady Lions remained perfect in District 2-3A with Friday’s 25-21, 25-23, 25-18 win at Abilene Wylie.

The Lady Lions (23-8, 5-0) head to Sweetwater at 6 p.m. Tuesday to face the Lady Mustangs (5-0 in district) for sole possession of first place.

In Friday’s win over Wylie, Brownwood’s third over the Lady Bulldogs this season, Flynn Harrell again led the attack with 18 kills.

Julie Kennedy added 10 kills, followed by three each from Chloe Geye and Sheldyn Miller and one apiece from Alex Williams and Moochie Galloway.

Harrell and Stephanie Jordy tallied three blocks each, while Miller and Galloway had one.

RaeLee Taylor led the way with eight digs, followed by four each from Jalisa Hall and Harrell.

Williams added 33 assists.
