Brownwood council’s action will beneft two projects

Brownwood City Council members took action Tuesday that will benefit the construction of an apartment complex and the renovation of a downtown building that will become a restaurant. Bobbie Jean Forbess

Bobbie Jean Forbess 94 of Rogers, Arkansas formerly of Brownwood, Texas passed away November 22, 2022, at Jamestown Health and Rehab. She was born September 10, 1928, in Dell, Arkansas the daughter of James Oscar and Lessie Larene Dial Barnes. Bobbie owned and operated a Health Food Store. She was a longtime member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ in Brownwood and a member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers. She is preceded in death by her husband Ancil L Forbess, Jr. they were married March 23, 1947, in Galveston, Texas. She is survived by her children Rodney Forbess and wife Darlene and Teresa Ann Hamlet and husband Garry, seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m, to 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2022, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers. Funeral services will be at 11:00 at the funeral home. Graveside services 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Eastlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, in Early, Texas under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home, in Early.
