Larry Lamar Dean, passed away in Granbury, Texas, on Sept. 19, 2007, following a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 2, 1928, in the City of Monroe, Ouachita Parish, La., to the late Charles and Aleetha Dean. Larry served in the U.S. Air Force from 1945 to 1948. He was a retired disabled veteran as well as a retired federal employee.
He grew up and lived most of his young working life in Wichita, Kan. He also lived and worked in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.
He moved to Brownwood, Texas, in 2000. He loved to dance, tell jokes and never met a stranger.
Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth Ridings and son-in-law, John Ridings, of Granbury, Texas. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends further survive him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Dean his sister, Emma Lee Grinder and an infant sister Gussie Juanita Dean.

A “Remembrance” will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at the Brownwood Country Club.
