Changes are ahead next year in the way medical and dental services will be delivered, and a presentation is scheduled tonight to explain them.

The program will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Big Room of the Family Services Center, 901 Ave., Brownwood. Medicaid recipients or the parents and caregivers of a child or other dependent who received Medicaid may want to attend.

Medicaid medical services will be delivered to most recipients through STAR, a Medicaid managed care program. STAR offers a medical pland to help individuals received services. The recipient will also have a main doctor for most health care.

People age 20 and younger will received Medicaid dental services through a dental managed care program and a primary dental provider.

These changes will be explained, and questions will be answered at Wednesday's program. Personal help with enrollments will also be provided.

Those attending should bring the packet that was mailed previously about choosing STAR medical and dental plans, along with Your Texas Benefits Medicaid card.

The changes are scheduled to go into effect starting March 1, 2012
