The District 6-2A softball champion Early Lady Horns and 6-2A baseball champion Bangs Dragons will both in postseason action Thursday and Saturday as part of best-of-three series.

The Lady Horns (17-11) are slated to battle Blanco (26-1) in the Region I-2A quarterfinal round at 7 p.m. Thursday in Burnet for the series opener, with Games 2 and 3, if needed, to follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the same location.

The Dragons (25-2), ranked No. 4 in the state in Class 2A, begin their postseason run against Sonora in the Region I-2A area playoff round. Game 1 is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Foster Field in San Angelo, with Games 2 and 3, if needed, to follow at the same location at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Early, which had a first-round playoff bye, advanced to the regional quarterfinals with a 10-3 area victory over Comfort Friday in a one-game playoff. Meanwhile, Blanco which also received a first-round for winning District 8-2A, knocked off Clyde in two games over the weekend.

Bangs had its first-round bye last weekend, while Sonora (20-6) the District 7-2A runner-up defeated District 8-3A third seed Harper in two games this past weekend.
