BALLINGER– The St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church will be holding its Fall Festival on Sunday, September 9, 2012. This annual festival is the church’s only fundraiser of the year.
The money raised is used to help support the community through St. Mary’s Out-Reach.
A traditional Mexican Beef Fajita Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the church hall. There will also be a drive-thru for plates-to-go. The live auction will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will feature many items donated by parishioners and local merchants.
There will be plenty of games to keep the children entertained as well as Bingo for everyone. The Altar Society ladies will sell homemade crafts and goodies in their Fancy Stand. A beautiful handmade quilt will be raffled by the ladies as well.
The parishioners are selling raffle tickets for a gourmet gas grill, 40-inch LCD television, and a $250 Walmart gift card.
Tickets will also be available at the festival — drawing to be held at 4 p.m.
The chairman for the festival is Pam Halfmann with Debbie Earnshaw and Dot Hoelscher serving as co-chairs. For more information contact St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 608 Sixth Street, Ballinger, Texas, or call at (325) 365 2687.
