Former Brown County's Sheriff, Melvin Stovall's great-grand children visit the Brown County Museum as part of daily summer activities with Early Beginnings Daycare, and get to learn more about how their great-grandfather impacted Brown County.

Each summer, the Brown County Museum is a favorite off-site activity for school children attending Early Beginnings Daycare Center. Not only is it fun for them to get to see and learn about the past of Brown County, but they all find it exciting to know that the daycare owner's, Shirley Stovall,  father-in-law, Melvin Stovall, was the sheriff at one time, and his information is displayed at the museum.

Melvin's great-greatgrandchildren are the three on the immediate right of the photo.

This year the museum has added additional displays, including a children's play area that the kids enjoyed.
